4th International Workshop
on Thrombotic Microangiopathies

Weimar

Weimar, October 1-3rd, 2009

Dear Colleagues,

we cordially invite you to the fourth International Workshop on Thrombotic Microangiopathies which will be held in October this year in Weimar. The field of Thrombotic Microangiopathies has shown a dramatic development during the last years and results from basic research are translated into the clinic. This allows new forms of diagnosis and therapy and developing further into preventive approaches. As novel genes have been identified the pathophysiology of the disease is coming clearer. This fourth workshop will cover all relevant areas including the identification of disease mechanisms, new disease associated genes, animal models and translating these finding to new approaches for therapy and prevention of the disease. The program reserves time to incorporate the latest development in the field and therefore relevant aspects covered in the submitted abstracts will be selected for oral presentations.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Weimar for a productive and exciting workshop.

Best wishes,
the local organizing committee
